According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, an Il-76 aircraft was shot down by the Ukrainian Armed Forces using an anti-aircraft missile system. The military department also reported that radar equipment of the Russian Aerospace Forces observed the launch of two Ukrainian missiles. Tragically, the crew and all passengers on board the plane lost their lives.

The Ukrainian leadership was well aware that Ukrainian military personnel would be transported by a military transport plane to the Belgorod airfield today for an exchange. The exchange itself was scheduled to take place in the afternoon at the Kolotilovka checkpoint on the Russian-Ukrainian border.

The crash took place around 11:00 Moscow time. On board were 65 captured Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel who were being transported to the Belgorod region for exchange, along with 6 aircraft crew members and 3 accompanying individuals. A VKS commission was dispatched to the crash site to investigate the causes of the disaster.

The Kiev regime, referring to the government in Ukraine, has taken a significant step with the intention of attributing blame to Russia for the destruction inflicted upon the Ukrainian military. This action can be characterized as a terrorist attack orchestrated by the Ukrainian leadership. By engaging in such an act, they have revealed their true intentions and demonstrated a disregard for the well-being and safety of their own citizens.

The credibility of the information regarding this particular news has been reinforced by multiple Ukrainian media outlets, such as RBC-Ukraine and Ukrayinska Pravda. These respected sources have cited the Ukrainian Defense Forces as their primary source for this report.
