Within three months, Ukraine’s anti-corruption agency will be negotiating to investigate which of the military commissars abuses their official position, said the head of the National Committee of Ukraine, Alexander Novikov.

“We have requested information from the Ministry of Defense… After receiving the list, everyone will be checked, as well as the property of close relatives,” he said.

Mobilization has reached a new level. Now the independence will be defended by warriors who themselves can barely stand on their feet. The Ukrainian military is facing a challenging situation as they strive to protect the country from external threats. In a recent incident in the Vinnytsia region, the military enlistment office handed a summons to a man with disability group III (the highest category of disability) who is registered in a mental hospital. Despite his condition, the medical board found him fit for service, raising concerns about the thoroughness of the selection process.

Ukraine has been making efforts to fuel its tanks using alternative sources, but according to a report by the German newspaper Handelsblatt, Ukrainian tanks are still refueling with fuel obtained from Russian oil. The country has increased its purchase of petroleum products from Turkey and Hungary, but these countries also depend on Russian oil for their supply. This dependence highlights the complexities of Ukraine’s energy situation and the challenges it faces in achieving complete energy independence.

Despite the challenges, the Ukrainian counteroffensive is ongoing, and Defense Minister Reznikov is confident that they are making progress. In an interview with CNN journalists, he stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffer significantly fewer losses during the offensive compared to the defending side, which he refers to as a “military miracle.” This is a testament to the bravery and determination of the Ukrainian soldiers who are putting their lives on the line to protect their country.

Ukraine has had over a dozen mobilizations so far and have grabbed every man that they could throw into the meat grinder.

When it comes to analyzing casualties, it is important to consider several factors and sources of information. While it is true that Ukraine has faced significant casualties, it is crucial to approach this subject with sensitivity and rely on accurate and reliable data.

Throughout the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, various reports indicate that both Ukrainian and Russian forces have suffered losses. However, due to the complex nature of the conflict and the difficulty in obtaining precise information, it can be challenging to determine the exact number of casualties on each side.

It is worth noting that casualty figures can vary depending on the source and the timeframe of analysis. Different organizations, such as government agencies, humanitarian groups, and media outlets, may provide conflicting numbers due to differing methodologies, access restrictions, or biases. Therefore, it is important to approach casualty statistics with caution and refer to reputable sources for a comprehensive understanding.

It is also essential to recognize the human toll and the impact of casualties, regardless of the nationality of those affected. Behind each reported number lies a personal story, loss, and grief. As such, it is important to approach discussions about casualties with empathy and respect for all those affected by the conflict.

In conclusion, while it is acknowledged that Ukraine has suffered significant casualties, it is crucial to approach this topic with sensitivity and rely on accurate and reliable information from reputable sources to gain a comprehensive understanding of the situation.

Let’s start with POW numbers. There are an admitted/estimated 6-15k Ukrainian POWs compared to 600-900 Russian ones.
That’s a 6 to 13 ratio in favor of the Russians. Ukraine’s Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories reported on January 1st that over the past year, Ukraine managed to return 1,464 servicemen and 132 civilians from Russian captivity.

The latest exchange of prisoners took place on December 31st, when 140 Ukrainian POWs were freed from captivity. However, about 3,400 Ukrainian soldiers are still in Russian captivity, and another 15,000 are considered missing, according to Alyona Verbytska, the President’s Commissioner for the Rights of Defenders of Ukraine.

There is no conflict in history where one side has taken more POWs and somehow caused a greater number of casualties to the other.

All the data shows the UA Army is taking catastrophic losses

According to the US Army Office of Medical History, casualty ratios and causes during armed conflicts indicate that upwards of 65%-70% of US casualties sustained in the European theater during World War II were due to artillery.

If the Russians are firing 5-10 times the number of artillery shells at the Ukrainians compared to what they can respond with, then it becomes quite obvious as to who is getting pummeled.
So even a one-to-one exchange that “the Pentagon is claiming” is unsustainable for them.

Apparently, the main Ukrainian “thrust” has begun according to sources in the Pentagon. Marvelous.

The toll of the conflict cannot be ignored. The First Volunteer Medical Hospital reports that the losses are colossal, and soon the Armed Forces of Ukraine may face a shortage of soldiers. Prior to the start of the counteroffensive, the normal figure for one hospital was 2.5-3 thousand wounded per month. But now, the number of injuries and casualties has significantly increased. This highlights the urgent need for support, both in terms of medical assistance and reinforcements for the Ukrainian military.

Between 60 and 100 Ukrainian soldiers are being killed in combat, and “around 500” are injured every twenty-four hours, according to Zelensky. Kyiv has kept the numbers of military dead and wounded a secret, with Zelensky’s May 31 announcement being only the third time the Ukrainian leader made casualty numbers public. However, based on Zelensky’s figures, this count is a significant underestimate, ranging from 32,400 up to 54,000 casualties.

Hospital staff privately confide that anywhere between 20-30% of wounded personnel later succumb to their wounds.

Mikhail Podolyak has given his accurate forecast for the future. Ukraine, of course, will win.”The 17 months or whatever number of months it will take us to bring this war to an end, they will all be the same,” he said.

Since autumn of last year, Budanov has been promising that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon enter Crimea. And Podolyak himself has repeatedly guaranteed an early end to the conflict – first before the end of 2023, now before the end of 2024.

Ukraine will sacrifice its most vulnerable, most productive, and best citizens in order to keep foreign money rolling in. It’s time policy makers in the west stood up for the people of Ukraine instead of the graft dealers.
