The administration is promoting reparations in an effort to address health and wealth disparities among Black New Yorkers. However, there are accusations that this is causing racial division. A proposal for federal reparations is outlined in a report by the city’s Department of Health and the Federal Reserve Bank.

Every time I read anything about the mayor of New York, Eric Adams, I just shake my head. Don’t you?

He’s such an odd ball. but mayor Eric Adams has obviously been listening to too many arguments from California about reparations. because now the mayor of New York is transfixed on reparations. for Black New Yorkers. Yes.

The administration is promoting reparations. In a bid to curb health and wealth disparities of Black New Yorkers. But the effort is being met with accusations that it’s sowing racial divisiveness according to the New York Post, of course, it says racial divisiveness. The rest of the population just shake their head and think, get out of here. How long do you think they’ll have him in power if he starts pushing for reparations? Now the proposal for federal reparations is spelled out in a bombshell report from the city’s Department of Health and the Federal Reserve Bank entitled analyzing the rate financial wealth gap and implications for Health Equity.

Now, the report said, the goal of a federal reparations program would be to seek acknowledgment, redress, and closure for America’s complicity in federal, state and local policies that have deprived black Americans access to wealth and wealth building opportunities, you see? For many of the nationalities that have ended up in America, they look at something like this and think, hang on a minute. What didn’t they have that I had? Because when I came to America, I had nothing. I decided to start and work hard from the very get go when I arrived in New York.

When my family arrived in New York, a century or more ago, we built our family’s wealth. We decided that we would invest in property from the hard work that we did. and we built something of our own.

How is that different to, for instance, black Americans saying I was deprived of equity, or I don’t have access to equitable wealth building opportunities? It’s exactly the same. The city’s health commissioner doctor Ashwin Vazan and his team offered three key recommendations including a fresh approach to public health policy, and how to improve data collections on wealth and health outcomes in getting the community more involved with health care decisions. But you can pay that, I might say, mister mayor Eric Adams, straight out of consolidated revenue.

You don’t need to set up reparations led by the Fed’s to redress the inequity imposed on black people in your city. It’s ridiculous. So, you’ve got one end on the West Coast and then the other end in New York. They’re both asking for the same stuff, reparations for black people.

And then you’ve got in Australia with the voice referendum, the same thing happening from those who are pushing for the yes vote. What is going on here? When does this stop? When do we have to say sorry? When does that end?

And when do these people realize that they started with the same stuff that most of their neighbors have started with, which is nothing. They’ve worked hard and built their wealth as we all have the opportunity to do.
