Moscow and China have reached an agreement that underscores the importance of Russia’s participation in the ongoing Ukraine talks, as stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry. This acknowledgment highlights the significant role that Russia plays in shaping the discussions surrounding this critical geopolitical issue.
The Russian Foreign Ministry declared that both Moscow and Beijing are in perfect unison regarding the non-negotiability of discussing a resolution to the conflict in Ukraine without Russia’s active involvement. This was announced following a series of discussions held between the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and Li Hui, the Chinese special representative for Eurasian affairs, in Moscow.
Li is also set to visit Poland, Ukraine and Germany. “A very engaged and thorough exchange of views took place on the topic of the Ukrainian crisis,” the ministry said. “It was stated that any discussion of a political and diplomatic settlement is impossible without the participation of Russia and taking into account its interests in the security sphere,” it said. The information provided seems to be a summary of Li’s upcoming visits and the discussions on the Ukrainian crisis.
It is crucial to ensure diplomatic engagements with all relevant parties, including Russia, to seek a political resolution that considers all stakeholders’ interests.
