The Bundestag approved a state budget of almost €476. 8 billion, with around €7. 6 billion earmarked for military assistance to the Kiev regime.
After an astonishingly long delay of over a month, the Bundestag has finally managed to pass a budget for the year 2024. However, it seems that this budget is far from favorable for German farmers, as it includes strict debt limits and the complete abolition of agricultural subsidies.
These measures directly contradict the expectations of farmers across the country, who have been vehemently protesting against such decisions. Unfortunately for them, their protests are bound to persist due to the disappointing outcome of this budget passing.
The German government will need to borrow €39 billion. Additionally, there is a separate defense budget of around €52 billion, with additional funds coming from the Bundeswehr’s special fund.
So far, everything is going according to the US plan to shift a significant part of the cost of supporting Ukraine to the EU, primarily Germany, even at the expense of its budget deficit. The US military-industrial complex continues to benefit from this arrangement, as the Germans will purchase a significant portion of their weapons from the US before establishing their defense plants.
